Further along the trail, it was time to RUN...
This was the view from our hotel balcony. Each morning I would sit out here with my coffee to watch the sun light up the rock walls. It was gorgeous.
It was a great day to keep cool in the water. And on the hike back, Caden caught a few ZZZZs on Shawn's head.
Back for more fun, this time a bit more hiking around the canyon. We headed to the lower Emerald Pool and Weeping Rock. We were so fortunate to have a bit of cloud cover on this morning to keep the temps lower making the hikes bearable.
By the time we finished Weeping Rock, it was mid afternoon and some of us were getting a little tired, so we split up and sought out our own adventures. Shawn and Logan headed down the Hidden Canyon trail, where they found themselves perched on a cliff face, hanging on to a chain to keep yourself from falling to your death. (can you guess this hike probably wouldn't have happened if I was along with them)
Caden and I got Popsicles, much safer and tastier.
On our final day in Zion we headed over to the visitors center. Caden befriended the "animals turned to stone"
while Logan took his Jr. Ranger oath.
Next stop, Bryce Canyon.
