The first weekend in December, Shawn ran a race in Ridgecrest...about 3 hours north and in the middle of nowhere...
We kicked off the weekend with a power dinner of Major Market Lobster
Then it was all aboard for a mini road trip...the boys were well plugged in...
Sunday morning came very early. That's the sunrise, not set.
but it was beautiful!!
Aunt Sandy was the one who planted the seed about this race. She ran the extra long race!!
There were a lot of crazies ready to run!

For lunch, we found a local bbq place that had individual TVs at each table...Disney Channel with deep fried pickles kept Caden happy.
After a very long drive home through some crazy fog
we ate another meal at a sub shop...Shawn did all the running but we all did a lot of eating :)
but it was beautiful!!
