Our little patient

Caden had tubes put in his ears, hoping this will eliminate his ear infections. He was an excellent patient. The surgery was quick and went as expected. We discovered that Caden does not like waking up from anesthesia though...he was not a happy camper about that, but once he was fully awake and the advil kicked in, he was eager to get home. After a short nap at home, he woke up good as new, ready to get back to all the normal crazy things he usually does.

Another Classic Caden Moment...

...brought to you by yet another ear infection... So, Monday we were at good ol' Dr. Goldfinger's office...I believe by now, Caden has his name on one of the exam rooms, since we are there nearly every 4-6 weeks during cold season. After a quick exam to verify that I am correct on my diagnosis (I should have my MD in ear infections!), Dr. G says "I'll go ahead and send the prescription to the pharmacy". So off we go, through the parking garage, back in the car and then down the street to pick up the medicine. As we pull into the parking lot of our local CVS, Caden yells "This is not the place!" I have no clue what he is protesting about this time, so I ask what's wrong? He then goes on the explain, with his best 3 year old exasperation "This is not where we are suppose to go. This is not the farm!" Now I'm really lost...why is he talking about a farm?? Finally Caden clarifies, "Dr. Goldfinger said we need to go to Farmer Steve." get it, farmer Steve - pharmacy...maybe this ear infection is effecting his hearing? I can't make this stuff up!!

First Day of School...nine weeks ago...

Caden started at the PHS Preschool this fall...he loves the idea of going to Logan's "old school".

Logan is in Mrs. Thresher's class this year...

with the same pack of crazy boys from last year...this should be fun!?!

Junior Ranger

For a week this summer, Logan returned to the Jr, Ranger Program at Torrey Pines. He loves the program, the ranger is GREAT and they always do some interesting stuff. This time Lo beachcombed, took a geology hike and painted scenery using water colors.

While Lo was in class, Cade and I played at the beach. Well, played is probably the wrong word. He wanted NOTHING to do with the sand and water. So much happier on the concrete...what a crazy kid?!?
