Mid Winter Beach Break

Thursdays are early release at Logan's school and if the weather is absolutely amazing we can't avoid a quick trip to the beach.

Christmas came early...pre-dawn hours

Santa delivered the much requested Skylanders

the cookies, carrots and chocolate milk were consumed

Stockings inspected

More presents opened

and then the playing began...Logan got his iPod fixed

Logan cleaned up his GeoTrax for Caden

and Shawn got his game cabinet

Then it was off to Nannie and Papas for more madness

Logan gave Wyatt a copy of one of his favorite books, The Monster at the End of the Book. It was a fun read.

Crazy Cookie Crew

It was time again to help out Nannie with her 12 million butter cookies. Logan is getting more and more like his dad, making outrageous combination like hidden red hots, duckbilled gingerbread boys and gingerbread stuffed butter cookies.

We shared Thanksgiving with the family at the Woodamans. Lots of food, family and fun.

Then it was off to the cabin for more family fun

And a chance to visit with Santa. Caden talked the ear off the Jolly Ol Man, educating him about Skylanders to insure that Santa understood what he was requesting. Good thing there wasn't a line ☺

Wyatt took some time with the Big Guy too. So precious!!

Lobster Love

Dinner out last night with Grandma and Grandpa led to shaking hands with a lobster.

What a great way to spend a dark rainy morning...wrapped up in the basket of laundry that was waiting to be folded and reading a comic book.

Halloween Happenings

Since when did Halloween become a week-long celebration? Maybe it's just a Van Pelt thing? We sure were busy!!

Here is our Neverland Family Photo!! This may be the last year I manage to get a family theme. Both boys had other ideas for their costumes this year. It took a bit of bribery to get everyone in costume at the same time. sheesh!!

Another one of our Spooky Outings was the annual Karate Carnival...this called for another costume change...Harry Potter grabbed a quick nap on the way to the studio.
