Gives new meaning to 'Use your noodle'

Caden is really enjoying his finger foods, mostly because he isn't dependent on someone else shoveling the food into his mouth...he can now do that as fast as he wants. Pasta is

a big favorite right now...although not all of it ends up in his mouth.

"He's still alive"

That is my usual response when someone asks how Buddy is doing. We've had him for about

9 years and the shelter said he was probably 5 or 6 years old when we adopted him. That makes him an old dog. But even with all his old dog ailments, he still needs to be right there in the action. He constantly keeps an eye on Caden. Is he being protective? Not sure, but Caden LOVES the doggie. He watches the dogs every move and when given the opportunity tries to grab a fist full of fur. Buddy of course is his usual self...thinking "hey kid, I just need to know where you are...but touching me, that is not necessary". Oh Buddy, if only we really knew what went on in that head of yours.
