Benjamin Franklin 24/7 for the last few weeks, at least if Logan had his way, in preparation for his report. The day it was assigned, we immediately had to stop at the library and check out nearly every book he could find. He read the encyclopedia at Grandma and Grandpa's and downloaded photos from the internet. Logan's teacher went out of her way one afternoon at pick up to let me know how impressed she was with Logan's research and depth of knowledge about good ol Ben. Our dinner conversations revolved around how electricity works and the purpose of lightning rods. Then the day finally arrived...the Second Grade Famous American Report Presentation...
He did a FANTASTIC job!! They also decorated a pre-made paper doll to go along with their speech. It's a little hard to tell in the photo, but Ben is holding a kite in one hand and the Declaration of Independence in the other.

To celebrate this
historic event, I made Ben Franklin $100 jello for dessert!! It was a BIG hit!!

now, to find an excuse to use this mold again...would a money themed birthday party be to presumptuous?!?
