On Sunday, Shawn ran a half marathon at the "Safari Park" aka Wild Animal Park. He had a great run...improved his time from the Carlsbad run (not having bronchitis may have had something to do with that).
Cherie ran the race too! Way to go guys!!!
The rest of our day was spent exploring the park. We discovered a new bird.

Since we were at the park so early, many of the animals were out and about, enjoying their breakfast.
The Nile Monitor is always worth a visit.
And of course, some time at the playground

Way to go, Shawn! I'm so impressed! And then what a nice afternoon of animal viewing. We love the shoebill with its bill like a shoe. Very cool!
