A Robot Timeline

It was about 2 pm Saturday when we stopped by my classroom to pick up a couple empty boxes. By 5, the Robot boy was ready for the Karate Carnival (the paint was still a bit wet!) A few more final details Sunday afternoon and poof...Logan's favorite costume EVER was complete.

Lobster + Birthday = Happy Shawn

For Shawn's Birthday, we visited the Long Beach Lobster Festival. What are the chances that the second largest Lobster Festival would be happening on Shawn's Birthday?? We couldn't pass up the chance!! The lobster was plentiful...

and the inflatable bounce houses and slides were unlimited...everyone was happy!!

...Shawn found his paradise. Big meaty grilled Maine Lobsters, lots of them, for cheap...

Safari Run and Fun

On Sunday, Shawn ran a half marathon at the "Safari Park" aka Wild Animal Park. He had a great run...improved his time from the Carlsbad run (not having bronchitis may have had something to do with that).

Cherie ran the race too! Way to go guys!!!

The rest of our day was spent exploring the park. We discovered a new bird.

Since we were at the park so early, many of the animals were out and about, enjoying their breakfast.

The Nile Monitor is always worth a visit.

DJ Cade

Apparently there is such thing as a Sony store...we went there...looked a lot like the Apple store but with more fun video games, like DJ Hero (I think that's what it's called) Caden was ALL OVER IT!

4 o'clock Friday @ the Del Mar Races

We played the ponies...

and danced to the B-52s...one of just a handful of bands that Shawn and I BOTH love. Different songs, of course and they played a mix of them all. What a great concert!!

Disney Days

Shawn and Logan made it up to Disneyland last weekend and Logan rode California Screamin' for the first time...my little boy rode UPSIDE DOWN...WITHOUT ME!!! I love coasters and this one is a great one. The first blast off is intense but its a smooth ride with an incredible view of California Adventure and over to Disneyland.

As most of you know, Shawn LOVES Disneyland, so we visit often. I thought it would be fun to show Logan at the phone in ToonTown, the first time he was there when he was about a year and a half compared to just the other day, almost seven and a half.
