We had a beautiful view of the 20 million year old volcanic plug known as Morro Rock from our hotel room. (Thanks for the rec, Cherie!)
Gotta love a sign like this when you walk up to a beach!
This sign doesn't lie...the BEST clam chowder I've ever tried (and I consider myself a bit of a clam chowder snob) Even if you aren't staying in Morro Bay, I highly recommend stopping just for the chowder. Their "crabby patty" aka crab cake on a bun, was pretty tasty too!
