Behind the Music with The Painted Rockers

Talent Show is right around the corner. This is the third annual tour of The Painted Rockers.

You may remember the KindeRockers followed by their First Grade Performance. This year the boys were searching for some inspiration, so they kicked off their studio time with some Lego Rock Band practice. You may notice that their smallest fan was sitting in on a few sets. And now for the big reveal....for the 2011 Talent Show, The Painted Rockers will be playing...

They raised the bar on this one....keep your fingers crossed!!

"The Sun's Awake!!"

This is how Caden started his morning everyday for about the last year. It always puts a smile on my face because I would think to myself, "Oh yes, the SON is awake" But now he's hit another milestone. One that is so bitter sweet. Caden is not longer trapped in his crib...he's now able to get in and out as he likes. It was time...he was waking up 2 sometimes 3 times in a night, urgently yelling "I need to go potty!" so I figured if he had the ability to get up by himself, he'd make it to the bathroom ALL BY HIMSELF (I realize now that I was WAY too hopeful!)

Here is his big boy bed...pardon me while I wipe a tear from my eye.

We sat down to put on shoes before leaving for preschool and I stopped to grab my camera in hopes to finally remember to get some pics of Caden's classmates to keep up with my room-mom duties. Caden saw the camera and said his usual, "Take my picture!" so we had an impromptu photo shoot.
