Baby, it's hot outside

It has been hot...super hot...melting toys in the car hot...stay in the air conditioning hot... but Caden needs his outside time. He stands at the back door just wishing to go out and play. Check out how we beat the heat yesterday... We started in the sand box, in the shade, but still hot. Once he was covered in blue sand, it was time to move on to the pool.

Melts my Heart

The other afternoon, Logan noticed that Caden was making it a bit difficult for me to start dinner. Without being asked, he grabbed a book and said "Hey Caden, lets go snuggle on the couch and read a book". Logan loves his little brother so much and of course Caden wants to be just like his big brother. Incidentally, this moment was short lived. Caden closed this book before Logan could finish it, threw the next one and by book 3, Caden had Logan pinned on the couch with the book slammed on his chest. BROTHERS!

Caden's favorite book right now is 'Go, Dog, Go'. If you haven't experienced it, I'll give you a quick summary...lots of dogs, some cars and the word go a lot. Do you see why it is Cade's favorite book? Today he "read" it to Buddy. Buddy was fresh from the tub and exhausted so he wasn't about to move away from the boy. Bud seemed to actually enjoy it, after all he wasn't being hit, stepped on or having his hair pulled.

Logan's First Day of First Grade

Logan was excited about heading back to school, seeing his friends, meeting his teacher, finding out who would be in his class.

Caden wanted to get in the act too.

His good buddy Jared is in his class this year!

15 months old and still can't fly

Yesterday I had the scare of my life...Caden tried to fly...off a 6 ft high platform

Surprisingly, he doesn't have a scratch or bruise.

Beach Day with Mrs. G

As a last summer hoorah, we met up with some of Logan's classmates and his kindergarten teacher at the beach.
