First Day of Second Grade
Last Beach Day of Summer Vacation
A couple days before school started, we gathered a few families for a last chance beach day.
You may remember Parker and Braden from the Talent Show days, they are the other members of the Painted Rockers!

Road Trip 2010 - Griffith Park Observatory
Road Trip 2010 - on the road again
To be honest, we were a little nervous about going on vacation. Our last trip was to Cabo a year ago and Caden more or less did not sleep...which meant no one else slept either and before that we went to the Polar Express and he didn't sleep then either. But this time was different! He was very excited to sleep in his "vacation bed" at the hotel and thanks to those blackout curtains, he slept til 7 each morning. Woohoo, time to plan more trips!
and partook in a feeding frenzy at a truck stop somewhere between the 101 & the 5 (Don't ask me where we were, but thank goodness they had a bathroom)
Both boys slept during the longest stretch of our drive
