Need More Legos

This was our first trip to the Water Park at LegoLand...what a great place!! After a float in the lazy river and a few trips down the little kid slides we parked it in the sand area where there were a ton of JUMBO sized legos. What a surprise! It didn't talk long for a gigantic fort to be built.

Can't wait til we can get back!!

Here Comes the Sun

Yeah we all shine on, like the moon, and the stars, and the sun. - John Lennon

Happy First Day of Summer!!

The Summer Solstice helped us kick off our summer. I started the day with Sun pancakes

Then it was off to a day of backyard fun. We made a solar oven and melted some crayons and made a sun dial to help us track it's progress across the sky on our longest day of light.

Logan treated us to a picnic lunch, assembled all by himself. What a treat!!
 YUM!!
The rest of the afternoon was spent in the backyard fort, reading books and playing.

After Caden's nap we headed to the beach where Shawn joined us after-work for a picnic dinner and to enjoy the latest sunset of the year.
