Hitting the road for our two day drive back home. We started in Idaho, cut thru the South East corner of Oregon (a whole lot of nothing!!), across the Nevada desert (more nothing!) and finally into California. All in one day!!
The entire time in Oregon we encounter 1 gas station and one restaurant and lots of dust devils!!
Woo Woo! The Golden State!!!
We stopped in Lee Vining for the night, got up early, grabbed some breakfast and hopped over to Mono Lake for a quick peek.

Quick stop for lunch with a view of Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the continental US.
What a terrific trip!! But please don't make me sit in the car for another 6 plus hours...until our next trip :)

Where are those Cindercones? They are awesome!! I thought I had seen California . . . apparently not :)
Wow! That's a lot of driving and seeing. Those cinder cones are cool.
